PIERCE, Adam William, age 43 passed away on November 6, 2019 following a chronic illness. He was born on March 28, 1976 to parents Gary W. Pierce and Linda Dotzlaf Fordyce in Dayton, OH. He graduated from Milton Union High School in 1994. While in high school, he was on the varsity soccer and wrestling teams. He attended Sinclair College and studied mechanical engineering technology and auto mechanics where he became ASE certified in brakes, suspension, and steering.
Adam is survived by his parents Linda (Jon) Fordyce and Gary (Faithe) Pierce; sister, Alexis (Kerim) Ozden, nephew, Eren and niece, Ayla; grandmother, Maxine Pierce; and six uncles, aunts, and several cousins.
Adam is preceded in death by his grandparents, William A. Pierce, Edward and Charlotte Dotzlaf.
He was a skilled carpenter, welder, and crane operator. Thanks to his meticulous nature and strong work ethic, Adam mastered new skills quickly and became adept at many aspects of both residential and commercial construction.
Adam was passionate about catch and release fishing, cars, engines, and music. He had a love and calming touch for animals. He was a self-taught guitar player and performed at local open mic nights.
Adam will be dearly missed by all those who knew his kind and loving heart.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11 AM Friday November 29, 2019 at Salem Church of God, 6500 Southway Road, Clayton, OH 45315. A Family and Friends Gathering will be at 10 AM Friday at the church. THE FAMILY REQUESTS NO FLOWERS, memorial contributions may be made to to donate online, or mail contributions to ASPCA Tributes, 520 8th Ave, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10018 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in Adam’s name. So sorry for your lose. Just now hearing about this. Sounds like an amazing young man. So sorry I have lost touch with so many family members. It is my own fault. You and Steve were very close bat one time. Still love you and will be praying for your family.
