Obituary

WOLF, Bonnie Sue (Leis) age 78, of Vandalia passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at her home after a 10 year battle with ovarian cancer. She was a 1959 graduate of Wilbur Wright High School. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Gene and Nellie Leis, brother, Tom Leis and sister Carol Daniels.. Survived by her husband of 56 years James “Jim”, daughters Tammy Morefield, Amy (Forest) Moses, Teresa (Gilles) Trottier, sons Nicholas Wolf and James “Jimmy” (Karen) Wolf, 10 grandchildren, Kelly Morefield, Robert Morefield, Brandy (Dave) Hall, Hilary, Katy and Shelby Moses, Ashley and Jackson Trottier and Matthew and Jenny Wolf and 8 great grandchildren, a sister Phyllis O’Ryan and a brother James Leis and other family and friends. Bonnie and Jim were married for 56 years. They enjoyed traveling with her sister Phyllis and Bill O'Ryan. She was an avid bowler and was the league secretary for many years along with association secretary. She was a regular member of Cassel Hills Swimming pool and the water aerobics classes at the Vandalia Rec Center where she met many friends. She loved gardening and spent many hours helping friends, neighbors and family members beautify their yards. She will be remembered each season as new flowers bloom. Bonnie loved her grandchildren and enjoyed taking them hiking at parks, roller skating, biking, swimming or at home playing cards, board games and building legos. A special thanks to Dr. Thomas Reid and staff at Kettering cancer Center. Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, at Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home 5555 Philadelphia Dr. at N. Main St. Interment Poplar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30th at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Ohio Hospice of Dayton, in her memory. Online condolences for the family may be sent to www.bakerhazelsnider.com.
