Dominic was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on the 14th of July, 1946 to Dominic John and Helen. He graduated high school in Cleveland at Benedictine High School. He then earned his Bachelor's degree from the University of Dayton and then went onto medical school at the University of Iowa Des Moines. He moved back to Dayton, Ohio, for his residency at Grandview Medical Center, specializing in Internal Medicine. He permanently transplanted to Dayton, OH where he held a private practice through Grandview Medical Center in Internal Medicine. In 1992, Dominic made a major change, and started moonlighting as an Emergency Room Doctor, he was instantly hooked. Eventually he left his private practice and began exclusively working in the Emergency Room. He started working as an ER physician at Grandview and Southview, added Coldwater, Grant Medical Center, Washington Courthouse, Bellefountaine, and most recently he worked in Connorsville in Indiana. Up until 3 weeks before his passing, he was still working one 12 hour shift a week in the ER in Connorsville. On top of all of the hours spent in the ER and with his private practice, he still managed to perform physicals at UD for student athletes. He continued to be mentor and teacher to many residents and interns throughout the years in his career.
He loved football, he even played in High School. He supported his UD Flyers, Ohio State Buckeyes, and Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He was also an avid Cleveland Browns fan.
Dominic loved, everyone, so much that he got married 3 times. He has stayed close with all of his ex-wives. Most of all, he loved his family. He loved being a husband, a father, and especially a Grandfather (Kendall 16, Caleb 13, Katelyn 10, Mathias 8, Austin 7, Delaney 4, Faith 2, Cecilia 2, and one more on the way).
