Karen was baptized as a Jehovah’s Witness in 1976, and served as a regular pioneer for 18 years. After graduating from Central State, she worked as a teacher for Dayton Public Schools. She volunteered with the Regional Building Committee to help construct, remodel, and repair Kingdom Halls for over 20 years. Many loved Karen for her quick wit, humor, strength, and positive attitude regarding her battle with cancer. She is also known as always giving a witness whenever she could, even under Hospice care at home. She spoke frequently of her hope of living forever on a paradise earth to all who would listen.
She was “Aunt Karen” and “Mom-Mom” not only to her relatives, but also many others whom she truly loved and treated like family.
Special thanks to Dr. Satheesh Kathula and his staff at Dayton Physicians Network for the personal care, dedication and compassion shown over the years along with many supportive family and friends
