My name is Maryjane Bixler Munson. Nancy was my cooperating teacher at Shilohview School in the fall of 1969. I appreciated so much her ability to encourage me and her positive attitude towards my clumsy way of teaching. I had no clue what I was doing when I started student teaching, but by the time I finished my student teaching experience with Nancy, I felt confident. The highlight of the semester was when she took me to Anticoli’s on Salem Avenue for dinner and gave a small piece of jewelry that I still have. Thank you for sharing your mom with me, as I am sure you children were quite young at the time. I taught for 6 years at Northmont, Edgington School and after that taught piano in my home. I am a 1970 Miami University graduate. I was at the funeral today and enjoyed hearing about Nancy’s family. You are in my prayers. You have great memory to treasure.

Mrs. Shroyer was my 3rd grade teacher. My name is Linda Sarsgard Lee. She taught my 2 brothers Lynn and Larry Sarsgard too. She was always so sweet and was a great teacher! She was known by my parents Helen and Bob Sarsgard. Helen and Bob Sarsgard would always see Nancy and her husband at the Barnsider. Her legacy of her great smile and sweet disposition will be remembered.
GOD is rejoicing !

My heartfelt sympathy to the family at the loss of your Mother. It was a great privilege to be neighbors to Don and Nancy for many years. What a special couple and a great family. May the days ahead give you comfort in knowing God's love to them and the family.
