MONTGOMERY, Viola M. “Granny” age 70, of Dayton, OH was called to her Heavenly home Sunday, October 27, 2019. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Clark and Ellen Montgomery Nesby; and daughter, Angela Carter. To live on are her children, Michael Montgomery, Malika Montgomery, and Shawn Montgomery; grandchildren, Jamiela Caldwell, Jawon Howard, Jordan Craver, Jerel Howard, Ja’ona Carter, Myracle Montgomery, Travion Montgomery, Shameila Monroe, Kiyana Montgomery, Raven Thompson, Cierra Thompson, Andre Montgomery, and Tristan Montgomery; and 13 great-grandchildren. Two close friends, Thelma Williams and Debra Pigford.

Viola attended Roosevelt High School and later obtained her GED. Viola was a very loving and giving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece and friend to many. She was a very strong-willed person, she gave her all in everything she did. In the midst of fighting with an illness, God saw that it was time for her to be with Him. Her days were spent surrounded by family and friends that had touched her in many ways. “Granny” will never be forgotten and the memories of her will live on as she takes her stand in Heaven.

Visitation will be 1-2 PM at Baker-Hazel & Snider Funeral Home, 5555 Philadelphia Dr. Dayton. Services will follow at 2 PM with Mollie Magee officiating.
